Le Jazz Concert
September 06, 2019
Le Jazz returns to All Saints Church Dulverton for an eighth consecutive year. Pictured are Andrew Daldorph (left), Kate Walker and Chris Gradwell. Together with Mike Thorn, (double bass) a founder member of the group, they will present a new programme which includes some of their traditional numbers.
Music Deco delights in the rhythm, romance and evocative style of that most exciting time of popular music, the 1920s to the 1940s. Conjuring the very essence of the Deco Period and providing an evening of not just jazz, not just light music, but some of each, with a little comedy and smoky night club atmosphere thrown in as well.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mrs Wendy Gunn. Wendy was a long standing member of our Church community having been a PCC member, Churchwarden, and latterly the organiser of Messy Church. Wendy was the founder of Messy Church here in Dulverton and I know that the children, their families and the Messy Church helpers team will all greatly miss her love, laughter and friendship. We all at Messy Church and the whole Church family send our love and condolences to Ivan, Michael, Anthony and all of Wendy’s family in this most difficult of times.

Benefice Pilgrimage to Assisi and Florence: In the steps of St.Francis – I will be leading a benefice pilgrimage to Assisi (7 nights) and Florence (3 nights) from 4 – 14 September 2017. This will combine worship and sightseeing, with some free time included. The party will number no more than 20 and we will have the services of a guide and air-conditioned coach throughout. I would stress, however, that this is not a parish holiday!. There will be time to worship, contemplation and reflection as well as seeing some wonderful examples of Italian art and architecture. There will be a fair amount of walking, so perhaps not best suited to those with mobility issues.
Full details are available in the brochure, with booking form, from Jane Erith – 01398 323879
